Volunteer Tutoring

Many 1R Scholars need assistance from a tutor while they are in college, and we rely on a growing number of volunteers to help meet this need. 

Volunteer tutors use their knowledge and skills to assist with a variety of college-level courses. Depending on the subject, a tutor might edit a paper, explain a difficult concept, or work through a practice exam. There is particular need in the following subjects:

• English/writing

• Math (including statistics and accounting)

• Computer Science

• Chemistry

Commitment: 1-2 hours/week for at least one semester

After completing the volunteer application form linked below, you will be invited to attend a brief volunteer orientation.
